Sha command in AutoCAD – Shamode command – Observe and shade the object

1. The way to call Sha command in AutoCAD

Screen menu Type command
View2 » Shade » Choose option

Shamode, Vscurrent, – Shamode

Command Shademode, Vscurrent (Visual style current) and –Shademode set up the style of observing and shading 3D object in current viewport.

Shademode

  • Enter an option [2dwireframe/3dwireframe/3dHidden/Realistic/Conceptual /Other] <current>: Enter an option

Shademode

  • Enter option [2D wireframe/3D wireframe/ Hidden/ Flat/ Gouraud/ fLat+edges/ gOuraud +edges]: Enter an option

2. The choices with Sha command in AutoCAD
2D Wireframe

  • Display the objects by using the straight segments and arcs to perform the boundaries (picture 11.1a). The objects OLE and Raster, the linetypes and stroke width can be seen. Even the value of system variable set up equal 1 does not also appear in observing 2D wireframe.

3D Wireframe

  • Display the objects by using the straight segments and arcs to perform the boundaries. Display the symbol of 3D UCS coordinate system (picture 11.1b). You can set up the system variable COMPASS equal 1 to observe the compass.

3D Hidden/Hidden

  • Display the objects by using the performance of 3D wireframe and hiding the performing lines of backsides.

Flat Shaded

  • Shade the objects among polygonal faces. These objects appear flatter than and not as smooth as the Gouraud shaded objects (picture 11.2b).

Realistic

  • Shade the objects as realistic and make the sides among polygonal faces smooth. Materials you assigned to the object are displayed.

Conceptual

  • Shade the objects as realistic and make the sides among polygonal faces smooth. Shade the objects by using transition between warm and cold colors (picture 11.3b). The effect is not as realistic as but it makes the details of model clearer.

Gouraud Shaded

  • Shade the objects as realistic and make the sides among polygonal faces smooth. This option makes the object smooth as real. Materials you assigned to the object are displayed when the object is Gouraud shaded

Flat + Edges

  • Combine between the options Flat Shaded and Wireframe. The object flat shaded following to wireframe is displayed.

Gouraud + Edges

  • Combine between the options Gouraud Shaded and Wireframe. The object Gouraud shaded following to wireframe is displayed.

Other

  • Enter a visual style name [?]: Enter name of a visual style or enter ? to display name list and repeat the prompt line.
