Len command – Lengthen command in AutoCAD – The command to shorten objects in CAD
Lengthen command in CAD or “Len command in CAD” – “The command to shorten objects in CAD”. The way to access command as below:
- Menu: Modify –> Lengthen
- Command: Lengthen
- Shortcut command: LEN
It is used to change the length of the objects which are straight segments or arcs.
Command : LEN ↵ Start the command then ENTER
Select objects or [DElta/ Percent/ Total / DYnamic]: At this prompt line, when you choose the object, its length will be shown.
Len command – Lengthen command in AutoCAD – The command to shorten objects in CAD
* If you type parameter DE (the below prompt line appears) – Change the length of object by enter increasing space. When value of increasing space is minus, it reduces the size. When value of increasing space is positive, it increases the size.
Enter delta length or [Angle]: Enter increasing distance
Select an object to change or [Undo]: Choose object to change size (you can choose many objects, to complete you press ENTER)
* If you type parameter Percent –Change the length following percent in comparison with total length of chosen object
- Enter percentage length <100.000>: + Enter percentage of length
- Select an object to change or [Undo] + Choose the object to change (you can choose many objects, to complete you press ENTER)
* If you type parameter Total (the below prompt line appears) – Change total length of an object following to new value.
- Specify total length or [Angle]: Enter new value
- Select an object to change or [Undo]: Choose an object to change
* If you type parameter Dynamic – To change total length of object.
