Sunproperties command is used to set up and edit the properties of the Sun.

  • Sunproperties

Display Sun Properties window and set up the properties of the Sun.

  • General

Set up the general properties of the Sun.

  • Status

Turn on (ON) or turn off (OFF) the Sun. This establishment is not useful if the shining is not carried out in the drawing.

  • Intensity Factor

Set up the Intensity Factor of the Sun. The value range from 0 (no light) to maximum. The bigger value the more shining.

  • Color

Control the color of light. Enter a color name or number or click at Select Color to open Select Color dialog box.

  • Shadows

Turn on and turn off the display, and calculate the shadow of the Sun. Turning off the shadow will increase the efficiency.

  • Sky Properties

The general sky properties is as follows:

  • Status

Defining the shine of sky is calculated when shading (render). This does not effect on shining the viewport or background. The values are: Sky Off, Sky Background, Sky Background and Illumination. Default is Sky Off.

  • Intensity Factor

Supply the way to amplify the impact of sky light. The values are: 0.0 ¸ MAX. Default is 1.0

  • Haze

Define size of the shine effecting following to atmosphere. The values are: 0.0¸15.0. Default is 0.0

  • Horizon

These properties are related to the appearance and the position of the ground.

  • Height

Define the absolute position of the bottom plane relatively in comparison with world zero. This parameter performs the world-space length and should be defined according to the current length unit. The values are: + ¸ MAX. Default is 0.0.

  • Blur

Define number of blur appearance between ground and sky. The values are: 0 ¸ 10. Default is 0.1

  • Ground Color

Define the color of ground by selecting a color from the scroll down list or select in the dialog box Select Color.

  • Advanced

These properties are related to the different aesthetic effects.

  • Night Color

Define the color of night sky by selecting a color from the scroll down list or select in the dialog box Select Color.

  • Aerial Perspective

Define the projection of the applied aerial perspective. The values are: ON/OFF. Default is OFF.

  • Visibility Distance

Define the visible distance. The values are: 0.0 ¸ MAX. Default is 10000.0.

  • Sun Disk Appearance

These properties are related to the background. They control the appearance of sun disk.

  • Disk Scale

Define the scale of sun disk (1.0 = correct size).

  • Glow Intensity

Define the intensity of sun glow. The values are: 0.0 ¸ 25.0. Default is 1.0

Define the intensity of sun disk. The values are: 0.0 ¸ 25.0. Default is 1.0

Set up the sun angle

Date    Display the current establishment of date

Time    Display the current establishment of time

Daylight Saving   Display the current establishment daylight time

Azimuth    Display the azimuth. This establishment is for read-only.

Altitude    Display the altitude, the sun angle is vertical in comparison with horizon. Maxium is 90°. This establishment is for read-only.

Source Vector    Display the coordinates of vector source, the sun direction. This establishment is for read-only.

  • Rendered Shadow Details

Set up the properties of shadows.

Type Display the shadow style. This establishment is for read-only when the shadow display is turn off. The choices are: Sharp, Soft (mapped) displays the options of Map size and Soft (area) displays the options of Samples. Soft (area) is the option of Sun following to photometric workflow (LIGHTINGUNITS = 1 hoặc 2).

Map size (only for Standard shine) Display the size of shadow map. This establishment is for read-only when the shadow display is turn off. The values are: 0 ¸ 1000. Default is 8.

Samples Define number of samples undertaking the sun disk. This establishment is for read-only when the shadow display is turn off. The values are: 0 ¸ 1000. Default is 8.

Softness Display the establishment of the appearance of shadow sides. This establishment is for read-only when the shadow display is turn off. The values are: 0 ¸ 50.0. Default is 1.0.

Geographic Location Display the establishment of current geographic location. This establishment is for read-only when the city does not save the latitude and the longitude. The city will not appear in the list.
