DimAngular command in CAD

DimAngular command in CAD (dimang command in cad, dan command in cad): it is the command to specify angle dimension in autocad. Below is the way to use dimangular command in cad:

1. Specify angle dimension between 2 straight lines.

Specify angle dimension between 2 straight line segments P1P2 and P1P3.
Command : DAN↵ or Dimangular

  • Select arc, circle, line or <specify vertex>: Choose the first straight line segment P1P2
  • Select second line: Choose the second straight line segment P1P3
  • Specify dimension arc line location or [Mtext/Text/Angle]: The position of dimension line

2. Specify angle dimension across 3 points.
Specify angle dimension across 3 points P1, P2 and P3.
Command : DAN↵ or Dimangular

  • Select arc, circle, line or <specify vertex>: ↵
  • Angle Vertex: Choose the top point of angle
  • First angle endpoint: Define the endpoint of the first side
  • Second angle endpoint: Define the endpoint of the second side
  • Specify dimension arc line location or [Mtext/Text/Angle]: Choose the position of dimension line. Choose Mtext, Text and Angle in Dimangular command similar to the choices in Dimlinear command.
