Pe command – Pedit command in AutoCAD – Edit 3D polyline
1. The way to call Pedit command in AutoCAD

Modify » Objcect » Polyline | Modify 1 » Pedit | Pedit, PE | Modify II |
Pedit command is to edit 2D, 3D polylines and 3D polygon net.
Pedit
Select polyline or [Multiple]: – Select 3D polyline to edit
Enter an option [Close/Edit vertex/Spline curve/Decurve/Undo]: Enter an option.
2. The options with Pedit command in AutoCAD
Multiple
- This option is used to select many polylines to edit.
Close (open)
- Close at the start point of open polyline or open at the last segment of close polyline
Spline curve
- Change the selected object to 3D B-spline approximate curve following to its controlling points. SPLFRAME system variable controls the precision and the display of controlling points for 3D B-spline curve, these curves only can be approximate with straight segments.
- If SPLFRAME variable equals 1, the controlling polygon is displayed; if SPLFRAME variable equals 0 (default), the controlling polygon is not displayed.
Pedit
- Select polyline or [Multiple]: – Select 3D polyline to edit.
- Enter an option [Close/Edit vertex/Spline curve/Decurve/Undo]: S.
Decurve
- Change curve segments to straight segments when you edit 3Dpoly by fit or spline curve option before.
Undo
- Cancel an action that has just been done by edit command Pedit.
Note:
- Current UCS defines active plane where you can trim, extend, offset and rotate the objects.
