Rounded command in CAD – detail instruction for use

Rounded command in cad (fillet command in autocad, rounded command for angle of rectangle in cad, rounded command for 2 straight lines): it is the command to create arc between 2 objects. Autocad online course will introduce the way to use fillet command in autocad as below:

  • Menu: Modify –> Fillet
  • Command: Fillet
  • Shortcut command: F

Command : F ↵

Select first object or [Polyline / Radius /Trim /Multiple]: Choose parameters to fix the regime for stretching angle

  • Choose parameter R (Radius) To enter radius that needs to stretch angle

Specify fillet radius <0.0000>: Enter radius

Select first object or [Polyline /Radius /Trim/ mUltiple]: Choose the first side that needs to stretch angle
Select second object: Choose the second side that needs to stretch angle

  • Choose parameter P (Polyline): After entering radius, you choose parameter P to stretch angle for all angles of Polyline
  • Choose parameter T (Trim): allow to cut or not cut the stretched angle

Enter Trim mode option [Trim/No trim]<No trim>: Here you enter T or N to cut or not cut the rounded angle
Select first object or [Polyline/Radius /Trim /mUltiple]: Choose the first side that needs to stretch angle
Select second object: Choose the second side that needs to stretch angle

  • Choose parameter U (mUltiple): If you enter another choice on the main prompt line in the store with this parameter, the prompt line with that choice is shown, then the main prompt line is shown.

For example 1: You round an angle of rectangle

  • Step 1: Enter command F↵.
    At this moment, the choices appear; here you choose to enter following radius R (Radius)
  • Step 2: Enter radius of arc
    Please note that the radius must be smaller than the side of rectangle, here you choose R=20 => press enter
  • Step 3: Click to choose 2 next sides of rectangle => then you press enter.
    You see the below figure:

For example 2: You do the same as for example 1.

Connect 2 straight lines into polyline by arc:


You do the same with the rest angles
