Exp command in AutoCAD – Export command – Export the drawing into the format file

The way to start Exp command in AutoCAD

Export command is to save AutoCAD object into other format files.

  • Command : Export ↵

– In the list of Files of type, choose the format style to export
– In File Name, enter the file name to export
– Press Save, then the objects are exported into format files according to the names which are entered at File name.

 

Note:
The dialog box Export Data records the last format file and saves it while using the current drawing.

The below export types are available:

  • 3D DWF (*.dwf): Autodesk Design Web Format (3DDWF command)
  • Metafile (*.wmf): Microsoft Windows® Metafile (Wmfout command)
  • ACIS (*.sat): ACIS solid object file (Acisout command)
  • Lithography (*.stl): Solid object stereolithography file (Stlout command)
  • Encapsulated PS (*.eps): Encapsulated PostScript file
  • DXX Extract (*.dxx): Attribute extract DXF™ file (Attext command)
  • Bitmap (*.bmp): Device-independent bitmap file (Bmpout command)
  • Block (*.dwg): drawing file (Wblock command)
  • V8 DGN (*.dgn): MicroStation DGN file (Dgnexport command)
