Regen command in AutoCAD – Regenerate the objects on screen

Regen command in AutoCAD is the command to regenerate the objects on screen Regen (RE). The way to use the command as below:

  • Menu: View–> Regen
  • Command: Regen or Regenall

Regen command is used to calculate and regenerate all objects on current viewport. Similarly, Regenall is used to calculate and regenerate all objects on whole drawing.
When do you need to use Regen command?: For example, when you adjust the resolution of circle from display resolution 2000 replacing for 100 before, or change the establishments about linetype,… To update those changes, you use Regen command.
