Create object, specify the dimension and edit the dimension for object as the picture:

Form A4 drawing with rate 1:1. Form the dimension line.

Use the basic drawing commands to create the specified object and edit the dimension.

Command: DIMLINEAR (DLI) ¿.

Specify first extension line origin or <select object>: Click to select the point P1

Specify second extension line origin: Click to select the point P2

Specify dimension line location or [Mtext/Text/Angle/Horizontal/ Vertical/Rotated]: 7 Enter.

Dimension text = 30
Command: DIMEDIT (DED) -> Enter.

Enter type of dimension editing [Home/New/Rotate/Oblique] <Home>: R -> Enter.
Specify angle for dimension text: 90 Enter.

Select objects: Click to select a point on dimension line

Select objects: Enter the result as picture

Select objects: Click to select the dimension line object to edit to the default position.

NEW choice: Change the dimension text.

Command: DIMEDIT (DED) -> Enter.
Enter type of dimension editing [Home/New/Rotate/Oblique]<Home>: N -> Enter.

TEXT FORMATTING dialog box appears. In this dialog box, you delete number 0 and enter new dimension text, then Enter to complete and select the dimension line to edit.

ROTATE choice: Rotate the dimension text, similar to ANGLE choice in DIMTEDIT command

Command: DIMEDIT (DED) -> Enter.

Enter type of dimension editing [Home/New/Rotate/Oblique]<Home>: R -> Enter.
Specify angle for dimension text: 45 -> Enter.

Select objects: Click to select the dimension line object to edit to the default position.

• Select objects: Click to select the next dimension line object to edit to the default position or Enter. to complete the command.

OBLIQUE choice: Create the oblique extension line.

Command: DIMEDIT (DED) -> Enter.
Enter type of dimension editing [Home/New/Rotate/Oblique]<Home>: N -> Enter.

– Select objects: Click to select the dimension line object to edit the extension line.
– Select objects: Click to select the next dimension line object to edit the extension line or Enter. to complete the command.
Finally, Enter obliquing angle (press ENTER for none): Enter the value of oblique for extension line in comparison with dimension line. 45 Enter. (Plus angle is the rotation angle with clockwise)
