Mirror3D command copies 3D object symmetrically across a plane.
- Mirror3D ¿
– Select objects: Select the object (1) to mirror.
– Select objects: ¿
– Specify first point of mirror plane (3 points) or [Object/Last/Zaxis/View/XY/YZ/ZX/ 3points] <3points>: Specify the first point A on mirror plane.
– Specify second point on mirror plane: Specify the second point B on mirror plane
– Specify third point on mirror plane: Specify the third point C on mirror plane.
Delete source objects? [Yes/No] <N>:
2. The options with MI command in AutoCAD
- Object
Mirror plane is the plane including the selected object. If you enter the option O (Object), the following prompt line appears:
- Mirror3D
Select objects: Select the object (1) to mirror.
Select objects:
Specify first point of mirror plane (3 points) or [Object/Last/Zaxis/View/XY/YZ/ZX/3points] <3points>: O¿
Select a circle, arc, or 2D-polyline segment: Select a circle as mirror plane..
Delete source objects? [Yes/No] <N>: (picture 6.12).
- Last
Copying the selected object symmetrically around mirror plane is defined by previous Mirror3D command. If you enter the option L (Last), the following prompt line appears:
Delete source objects? [Yes/No] <N>:

- Z Axis
Define mirror plane which is perpendicular with Z axis at its first point. Z axis is defined by two selected points. If you enter the option Z (Z Axis), the following prompt line appears:
Specify point on mirror plane: Select A point on mirror plane.
Specify point on Z-axis (normal) of mirror plane: Specify B point on Z axis which is perpendicular with mirror plane.
Delete source objects? [Yes/No] <N>: (picture 6.13).
- View
Arrange mirror plane following to visual plane of current viewport across a point. If you enter the option V (View), the following prompt line appears:
Specify point on view plane <0,0,0>: Specify a point on visual plane which mirror plane crosses.
Delete source objects? [Yes/No] <N>: Delete source objects? Enter Y to delete, enter N to not delete.
XY/YZ/ZX
Arrange mirror plane following to one of the standard coordinate planes (XY, YZ, or ZX) across a point.
- Mirror3D
Select objects: Select the object to mirror (1).
Select objects:
Specify first point of mirror plane (3 points) or [Object/Last/Zaxis/View/XY/YZ/ZX/ 3points] <3points>: XY
Specify point on XY plane <0,0,0>: Select A point on plane.
Delete source objects? [Yes/No] <N>: (picture 6.13a).
Similarly, select mirror plane YZ, ZX across the selected points.
- 3 Points
Define mirror plane across 3 selected points as original default. If you enter the option 3 (3Points), the following prompt line appears:
