Renderwin command in AutoCAD – Display the render window

Renderwin command displays the render window of current model.

Render window is divided into the following regions:

  • Image pane: Display the window of shaded image
  • Statistics pane: The right window; display current establishments used for shading.
  • History pane: The bottom window; supply the history of shaded images from current model.

From Render window, you can:

  • Save the image as file.
  • Save a copy of image as file.
  • Review the establishments used for current shading.
  • Lead the shading history direction of model
  • Take off, delete or take off and delete an image from the shading history.
  • Zoom to enlarge the shaded image, move around the image and then zoom back.

Save the shaded images

  • Save: Save an image as bitmap file.

You cannot use Saveimg command in shading for Render Window. This command is only applied when you shade for a viewport.

  • Save Copy: Save a copy of image to a new position
  • Exit Close Render Window.

If you reopen Render Window, the history of shading process still exists.

  • View Menu

Display the different elements forming Render Window.

Status Bar: Display the status bar below History board.
Statistics Pane: Display the whole board of Statistics.

Tools Menu
Supply the commands to zoom the shaded images.

  • Zoom + Zoom in the shaded image. When you enlarge the image, you can move around the image
  • Zoom – Zoom out the shaded image

Note:

If your mouse has the rolling wheel, you can zoom or move the image by rolling the wheel.

  • Image Pane

At the left top of Render Window is designed for image window. That is the first start of the shading device “renderer”. While shading, the image window gradually displays the shading panes when they become effective from renderer.

When shading is completed, image window supplies more functions such as:

  • Scroll bars.

Scroll bars appear when the image is not fit in the space fixed for the image window. The horizontal and vertical scroll bars appear at the bottom and the right side. Click the middle mouse nude or the wheel, the hand icon is displayed inside the image window. You can move by dragging the pointer.

  • Zoom factor.

At the beginning, a small zoom coefficient is selected so that the image can be fit to the image window. The range of zoom coefficient is arranged from 1:64 to 64:1 following to the second power. You can change zoom coefficient by the rolling wheel of mouse. You roll the mouse to the increasing direction of zoom coefficient.

  • Progress Meter

There are 4 stages before an image is completed: translation, generate photon, final gather (the ability of imitating the diffuse reflected rays) and render. Among Image pane and History pane is the happening of progress meter that shows you the imagine about how many treated stages and how many shaded images. Progress meter is divided into 2 information bars.

You can cancel the render by press the X symbol beside progress meter or press ESC key.

  • History Pane

History window is at the left bottom of Render Window. There you can browse a history of shaded images from current model. Each storage item in History window is called history entry. Storage data in the history items includes:

  • File name of shaded image and a directive set which shows you the shading style.
  • Image size
  • Name of shaded viewport. If the viewport has no name, it is saved as current viewport.
  • Time for shading is calculated following to hours: minutes : seconds.
  • Name of establishment before shading is used for render.

Any history item with file name will be saved.

  • History Pane – Shortcut Menu

Click the right mouse at history item, a menu with the following options appears:

  • Render Again: Start to shade again for whole history of selected objects
  • Save: Display Render Output File dialog box where you can saved the image on disk. If you chose a temporary item, move it to normal item.
  • Save Copy: Save the image to a new position that not effect on displaying the storage position in Render Output File dialog box.
  • Make Render Settings Current: Download the render settings related with selected history item if many history items are current and settings before shading are different.
  • Remove From The List: Remove item from the history list.
  • Delete Output File: Delete the shaded image out of the image window.
  • Statistics Pane

Supply an area at the right of Render Window, there you can check the details about render and render settings in effect when the image is created.

This information is received from the settings created while shading in the dialog box.
