Geographiclocation command in AutoCAD – Set up the parallel of latitude and the meridian
- The way to call Geographiclocation command in AutoCAD.
Geographiclocation command sets up the latitude, the longitude and the North direction of the position.

2. THE OPTIONS
- Latitude
Display or set up the latitude and direction following to the decimal value.
- Latitude
Set up the latitude of current position. You can enter a value or choose the position on the map, the value range from 1 ¸ 90. The system variable is LATITUDE.
Set up the latitude following to the equator.
- Longitude
Display or set up the longitude and direction following to the decimal value. The plus value shows West longitude.
- Longitude
Set up the longitude of current position. You can enter a value or choose the position on the map, the value range from 1 ¸ 180. The system variable is LONGITUDE
- Direction
Display the direction of longitude in comparison with prime meridian.

- North Direction
Set up North direction. As default, North direction is the direction of plus Y axis in the world coordinate system (WCS).
- Angle
Define the angle in comparison with 0 angle of North direction.
- North Direction Preview
Display North direction
- Map
Define the position by using the pointer. The values of latitude and longitude are updated when you choose a position. If you enter the values of latitude and longitude, the map will update to display the position.
- Nearest Big City
Use the value of latitude and longitude in comparison with the nearest big city you choose.
- Region
Define the world region. For example: choose Asia.
- Nearest City
Define the city in the selected region. For example: Select Ho-Chi-Minh (Saigon), Vietnam
When you select Region Asia and Nearest City Ho-Chi-Minh (Saigon), Vietnam, Latitude = 10.7833, and longtitude = 106.7000.
- Time Zone
Define Time Zone. For example, choose (GMT +7:00) Bangkok, Hanoi, Jacarta. Time zones are estimated by the reference to the position. You can set up Time zone directly. The system variable is TIMEZONE.
