Hatch command in CAD (H command in CAD, Bhatch command in CAD): to hatch a closed area in CAD (material section)

Below is the way to use Hatch/Bhatch command in CAD:

  • Command: Hatch or Bhatch
  • Shortcut command: H
  • Menu : draw/hatch

The order to draw a hatch section:

  • Create a snip of section
  • From menu Draw/ Hatch…., or carry out Bhatch command or
  • In dialog box, you choose Hatch page
  • In frame Type, you choose type of section
  • At section Pattern, you choose name of form to hatch
  • Choose rate at section Scale and oblique at section Angle
  • Choose pick Point to define a point in sectional area (it must be closed)
  • If you want to view section, please choose Preview
  • To complete you press OK

When you start the command, the below dialog box will appear:

Gradient page:

One Color: Define hatched area by using pure change between shadow and light background color of a color. When One Color is chosen, AutoCAD displays sample color with key Browse and scroll bar Shade and Tint (GFCLRSTATE variable)

Two Color: Define hatched area by using plain change between shadow and light background color of 2 colors. When Two Color is chosen, AutoCAD displays sample color with key Browse for Color 1 and Color 2 (GFCLRSTATE variable)

Centered : Define symmetric gradient form. If this ingredient is not chosen, gradient covered area changes to the left, create an imaginary light source to the left of object (GFSHIFT variable)

Angle: Define angle of gradient hatched area. Defined angle concerns with current UCS. This choice depends on the angle of section form (GFANG variable).
